Engine Oil Selection

For selecting appropriate engine oil, different factors and parameters should be considered. Premium engine oil has suitable viscosity and is capable of lubricating different parts of engine. Beside, soot and compounds due to oil combustion and generally precipitates formed on the engine parts must be suspended by the oil and in addition to compatibility with present seal compounds, it must have good inhibitory against rust, corrosion, oxidation and wear.

It is natural that all the above mentioned cases are determined via different tests, and the thing is important for final customer, is selecting proper oil which should be expressed by its manufacturer in simple words. For this purpose oil producers have posed two fundamental parameters as “name” and “last name” and emphasize that these two are correlative with each other and any selection must be made considering these two factors simultaneously.
